Cathycat is a multidisciplinary creative, designer and painter located in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Born in 1989, she grew up in the suburbs of Paris, France in a multicultural city with various cultures and ethnicities. She comes from a traditional asian family, with Vietnamese, Cambodian and Chinese roots. That allows her to embrace diversity and multicultural background. She started to draw and paint with her sisters during her childhood.

She started her career in the 20’s as a graphic and digital designer, and became digital art director for over 10 years, working in Paris and Amsterdam for creative agencies. 

After few years working a 9-5 full-time Cathycat decided to reconnect with her first love: art. She graduated from Mastery Program in Milan Art Institute and has been painting professionally since then. She has always been fascinated and inspired by vivid colors, shapes, calligraphy, graphic patterns and defines her style as pop/electric with realistic portraits. She believes in the power of transformation and empowerment, wants the message in her work to “choose love over fear”. She wants to empower people to live your life at its fullest potential. 

She currently prepares some exhibitions in Europe, to showcase her first portfolio with the theme of “Friendship celebration”.
